New starting March 13: Lernzentrum Georgianum

The Learning Center at Professor-Huber-Platz is opening its doors

On Friday, March 13, 2026, the new Lernzentrum Georgianum will open its doors. It is located in the Herzogliches Georgianum building at Professor-Huber-Platz 1, directly across from the LMU main building. The learning center offers a wide range of study and workplaces:
- five group study rooms with a total of 40 workplaces (available for reservation through Anny)
- an area with nearly 70 individual workplaces
- a lounge with beverage and snack vending machines
The Lernzentrum Georgianum is open:
- Monday – Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Sunday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 p.m.
The Learning Center is available to LMU students. Access is granted via the LMUcard.
A unique feature of the Learning Center is the “Room of Silence,” which was integrated into the center at the request of students. This “Room of Silence” is an interfaith retreat space for students, designed for spiritual reflection, meditation, and prayer.
The Herzogliches Georgianum is a seminary, part of whose building LMU has leased. In addition to offices, a learning center for students has now been established there.
